Description

Sizing your cases is possibly one of the most overlooked activities in reloading for accuracy. This die will provide you with the correct amount of sizing at the shoulder and base of the 6PPC case and be very straight. We have a method for chambering these sizing dies that is unique and it results in a very straight sizing chamber. Each die is chambered to exacting standards and checked for runout. It is then sent out for Nitride or QPQ treatment to harden the surfaces. When it is returned it is checked again and cleaned up inside and out.

An improperly sized case can result in multiple issues. Other than simply running through brass more quickly you will run into poor chamber fit, hard bolt lift, “clicking”, case separation (more severe case), runout in loaded rounds, and so on. If your sized brass is not straight using our dies then you likely have a neck bushing that is out of round. This is a big contributing factor to out-of-round cartridges. Tony Boyer uses our sizing die. Tony is one of the most demanding shooters in the world, if he likes our die, we think you may too. If you need any assistance in how to setup your sizing die correctly, please give us a call. A good reloading sizing die used properly is possibly one of the most important aspects of target shooting.

I bought one at the National’s and did as Chris said. Square up a correct size bushing and then check the sized case. The sized case’s now all have less then .0003 run out with most well under .0002. Very nice workmanship and finish. Best full length sizing die I have ever had. Thanks Chris
